Privacy Policy
AXMR ("we", "us", "our") provides personalised ASMR, focus, and sleep audio through the AXMR iOS app and website. We do not sell personal data, show third-party advertising, or use AXMR data for cross-app tracking. Contact support@axmr.app with privacy questions or rights requests.
Data We Collect
- Account information: email address, display name, profile photo when supplied by an identity provider, authentication provider identifiers, and security records.
- Preferences and user content: ASMR preferences, ratings, favourites, saved mixes, reminder choices, listening sessions, streaks, weekly goals, and offline-library choices.
- Purchase and entitlement information: product, provider, subscription status, renewal or expiry dates, and transaction identifiers supplied by Apple or Stripe. AXMR does not receive full card details from Apple or Stripe.
- Device and app identifiers: identifiers required for account security, Firebase App Check, and notifications that you choose to enable.
- Optional analytics and diagnostics: product interactions, approximate region derived from IP address, device/app information, and error diagnostics only after you choose to allow optional analytics.
- Operational request metadata: IP address, user agent, timestamps, and other limited metadata processed by hosting and cloud providers to deliver and protect the service.
Local downloads (iOS app) and service-worker cache files (web) are stored on your device; the website streams audio and does not keep an offline library. AXMR does not upload microphone recordings or access your photo library.
How We Use Data
We use data to authenticate accounts, personalise recommendations, play and download entitled audio, sync preferences, maintain subscriptions, send reminders you request, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal obligations. With your permission, we use optional analytics and diagnostics to understand reliability and improve features.
Where UK data-protection law applies, we process account, playback, and subscription data to perform our contract with you; security and limited operational records for our legitimate interests in protecting and maintaining AXMR; optional analytics with your consent; and records where required by law.
Your Analytics and Notification Choices
Optional analytics is off until you make a choice. You can allow or deny it during onboarding and change that choice at any time in Settings. Withdrawing consent disables analytics collection for future activity and resets the app's analytics identifier where supported.
Notifications are also optional. AXMR requests permission only after you choose a reminder or explicitly enable notifications. You can change notification permission in system settings.
Service Providers and International Transfers
We use:
- Apple: App Store subscriptions, Sign in with Apple, push-notification delivery, and platform security.
- Google Firebase: authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting, Storage, App Check, Cloud Messaging, and consent-gated Analytics.
- Stripe: web subscriptions and billing management.
- Sentry: consent-gated diagnostics on the website, configured not to send user PII.
- Resend: service email.
- Google Fonts and infrastructure providers: website assets and service delivery.
These providers may process data outside your country using their contractual and legal transfer safeguards. Their own privacy policies apply to their processing.
Retention and Account Deletion
Account content is kept while your account is active and removed when account deletion completes, except where a limited record must be retained for fraud prevention, disputes, tax, or other legal obligations. Short-lived playback links expire automatically. Provider security and operational logs follow the provider's configured retention periods.
You can delete your AXMR account in Settings. Deleting an account removes the AXMR profile and associated Firestore content and requests deletion of the Firebase Authentication account. It does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage Apple billing in Apple Account subscription settings. You can separately remove downloaded audio from your device.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time. Email support@axmr.app. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
AXMR is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion.
Security and Changes
We use access controls, short-lived signed media links, platform attestation, encrypted transport, and server-side entitlement checks. No service can guarantee absolute security. Material policy changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
